We have recently developed these hidden secure fixings
so that you can feel at ease when mounting your plaque onto a surface in the public view. Each security screw has its own unique brass dome that is screwed and glued into the top of the screw.
As shown with the diagram once in place these screws are very hard to un-do and are ideal for making your plaque safe.
Each Kit contains a 7 mm masonry drill, full installation instructions, 5 (1 spare) correctly sized raw plugs, 4 stainless steel, specially manufactured, counter sunk, self-tapping screws, four solid brass polished domes to match the plaque and a pack of 2 epoxy resin fixing mediums.
Apart from the secure fixing the brass domes greatly enhance the look of the plaque.
We offer all that is seen above for an additional cost of £40
Stonemason fixings are in the form of several threaded studs in stainless steel, fixed onto the back surface of the plaque.
These can be cut to the desired length and show no evidence from the front.
There is an additional cost of £ 20 for these fixings.
Design your plaque with one top fixing hole that will allow a small chain or wire rope (available from DIY stores) to pass through the hole and fix around the tree. (Allow some slack to allow the tree to grow) As the tree grows, the plaque will rise up with the tree and over a period of 30, 40, or 50 years and eventually become part of the tree. (What a wonderful thought)
We are able to manufacture a metal stake that may be
hammered in to the ground to your chosen height and
angle with fixing holes that correspond with the holes in
your plaque.
We supply appropriate 'Security' screws and a special tool
to tighten them up after the stake is hammered into the ground.
This provides a most satisfactory and secure way of mounting
a plaque on a grass surface, but allowing the plaque to be a
couple of inches off the ground to allow the grass to be cut with
a strimmer, without marking the plaque.
There is an additional cost for this stake of £28.
Order your plaque with either 2 or 4 fixing holes and we will
supply the appropriate sized 'Security' fixing screws, free of
charge.
These are stainless steel screws that can be fitted using
a standard flat screwdriver in the normal way, but CANNOT be unscrewed, once they have been tightened up.
